Our students have the opportunity to compete in highly regarded international business case competitions. Along with the benefits of getting involved in these competitions, students can also use the experience to impress future employers.
These competitions require teams to provide innovative solutions to real-life companies in a limited time frame. Teams then present their solutions to a panel of judges.
UNSW Business School co-hosts the Australian Undergraduate Business Case Competition with Queensland University of Technology. This is Australia’s only undergraduate strategy-based international case competition. This competition is held in the latter part of the year.

Student testimonial
The case competition was not only challenging, but gave us the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom. We met the most inspirational global group of students and made close friends that we’re very excited to visit on future travels. Between doing our assignments, in our bunk beds and sharing our nervousness before a presentation, we went through highs and lows and I cannot thank my team enough for their passion. Also, a huge thanks to the business school’s Brian Burfitt and Jeff Coulton, who make these competitions a reality for us, and to the UNSW Consulting Society for taking time out to help train us.
