When should I update my details with UNSW?
You should let UNSW know anytime your contact or personal details change. Examples include surname changes after marriage, address changes after relocating and changes to your preferred email address.

How can I access my UNSW alumni lifelong email address?Â
If you are accessing your lifelong UNSW email address for the first time, you'll need to reset your Microsoft ID password using your UNSW student number (zID) and zPass (the password for your zID). Once you have done this, you'll be able to add your UNSW email address to any email platform. Visit MyIT for instructions.
I’ve lost access to my UNSW student email address since completing my degree. How can I restore this access?
Access to your UNSW student email address expires 3 months after your degree has been conferred. You will only retain access if you continue your studies as an enrolled student at UNSW.

What is a UNSW Library alumni membership?
This free membership provides UNSW alumni with on-campus access to a UNSW Sydney Library to borrow items and access computers. The membership expires 3 years from the date of your application.Â

Students who have graduated or completed their degree program at UNSW or are recipients of honorary degrees are eligible for a UNSW Library alumni membership.

Please note that new accounts to access e-journals via the UNSW Alumni Portal, it may take up to 5 working days from the time of your registration to be approved. Once activated, the e-journal databases should appear as hyperlinks after you immediately login to the Alumni Portal.
If your account has already been approved but you're still having issues, don't hesitate to contact us and we will work with you to restore your access.

The University considers you a member of the UNSW alumni community if you have completed an undergraduate, postgraduate or doctorate degree in full at either UNSW Sydney or UNSW Canberra. We also consider recipients of honorary degrees from UNSW to be UNSW alumni.
