Hao's PhD research focus is on investor sentiment and stock returns. While many scholars have proved through various anomalies that the disclosure of financial statements will affect stock returns through investor sentiment, he specifically wants to further decompose the effective information of financial statements and examine the impact of investor sentiment on key financial statement indicators on stock returns under limited attention. He wants to explore how well investors read financial statement disclosures and how much information disclosed in financial statements is ignored due to attention effects.
