Zherui (Gerry) Li is a PhD candidate at the School of Risk and Actuarial Studies at UNSW starting in term 2 2023. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) and a Master of Commerce in Actuarial Science with honours class 1 at the Univertsity of Melbourne. During his studies in Melbourne, he completed an honours thesis and a Master's research essay, and was awarded a place in both the undergraudate dean's honours list (all eligible year levels) and the Melbourne Business School dean's list. His current research interest is on catastrophic risk modeling, extreme value theory and machine learning.
