Our research
The top university in Australia for research & impact.
Ranked one of the world’s top research universities by QS.
No. 3 sector leader in grant income.
Due to the success of our academics and staff within the school, we attract external funding that supports us to conduct pioneering research that makes a real-world difference. Â
Our research facilities are of a very high standard and include several purpose-built, well-equipped computerised laboratories.Â
Research strengths
Our research is innovative, diverse and covers numerous areas of study including clinical psychology, behavioural neuroscience, social and health psychology, and much more.
Research resourcesÂ
Our school uses Sona Systems to manage and schedule research projects and we work with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to determine the risk level of a project after an ethics application has been submitted. We also operate multiple world-class research centres and a very well-resourced Test Library.
Research tools
We’ve developed numerous tools to use for research including the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS) that measures depression, anxiety and tension/stress, and a test that assesses social perception in people who suffer brain damage.
