My research broadly focuses on how different types of funding impact firms. In particular, my research program considers the impact of Venture Capital and Private Equity on firm outcomes. These outcomes include firm success, innovation and growth strategies such as takeovers. My research is international in focus and includes Australian, US and Chinese markets.
My research has been used by the industry association representative body (AVCAL) to support policy change initiatives in private equity in Australia and support policy development by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.
