About Wei
Wei joined UNSW Sydney in 2010. She is a Professor of Accounting at UNSW Sydney.
Wei’s research uses experiments to examine judgment and decision-making issues in financial accounting and auditing. Her publications have appeared in leading journals such as theÌýJournal of Accounting Research,ÌýAccounting,ÌýOrganizations and Society,ÌýAuditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory,ÌýJournal of Business Finance & Accounting,ÌýBehavioral Research in Accounting,ÌýAccounting Research Journal, andÌýAustralian Journal of Management. She has received multiple Research Grants and Fellowships, including the Australian Research Council DECRA Fellowship.
Wei teaches financial accounting courses. She is keen to develop both generic and disciplinary skills throughout the student’s learning process to enhance their employability and benefit their careers in the long term. Her teaching innovations enhance students’ capability to practice accounting knowledge and see the relevance of financial reporting to investors and corporate managers.Ìý
Wei serves as a Scientific Committee Member for the International Symposium on Auditing Research (ISAR). She is an Editorial Board Member forÌýAccounting, Organizations and Society,ÌýBehavioral Research in Accounting, andÌýAccounting and Finance.Ìý
