Overview
The Bachelor of Commerce (International) is your gateway to worldwide career opportunities. Build global connections on an international student exchange that’s supported with a financial scholarship.
This degree provides a solid foundation in business and includes an international studies component and one-year compulsory overseas exchange to prepare you for the challenges of working in global business. You will have the ability to incorporate a language study such as Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Japanese, Korean or Spanish within the program. Students will receive exclusive mentoring as well as a scholarship to ensure they are prepared for their study abroad.
Put what you learn in the classroom to practice in real business environments. All Commerce students complete for-credit work integrated learning as a part of their degree in the form of internships, business practicums and group consulting projects.
You’ll understand business concepts and have skills in critical thinking, creative problem-solving and decision-making within a global context. With a thorough fundamental understanding of your chosen industry, you’ll be able to build international networks and prosper on a global scale.

Integrated First Year
Our first year courses are designed to reflect the nature of real-world business, and we call it the Integrated First Year. Traditionally, first year business courses are a series of ‘introduction to’ or ‘fundamentals of’ courses, which are separate introductions to different business disciplines. However we know that in reality, business problems are complex, multi-layered and span several disciplines. Our integrated curriculum reflects this. You'll gain a breadth of experience and nuance of understanding across a range of disciplines, preparing you to tackle real challenges in the workplace.

MyBCom portfolio is an award winning interactive platform and assessment tool. You'll use MyBCom throughout your degree to guide your studies, develop a tailored career plan, and collate a portfolio of professional experiences to showcase future employers.
Guaranteed work experience
Work experience is built into the BCom, meaning you can undertake internships in Australia or internationally as part of your degree. Entry to this degree is based on your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or an equivalent rank derived from the following:
- Australian interstate Year 12 qualifications (e.g., OP rank)
- New Zealand NCEA Level 3
- Equivalent overseas qualifications e.g., International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, GCE A-Levels
- Post-secondary or tertiary qualifications
- An alternative entry qualification

Adjustment Factors
We offer a range of adjustment factor schemes that reward students for academic performance and extra-curricular achievements. These schemes also take into account a range of personal and educational disadvantages that may have affected your studies.
This scheme rewards students who perform well in Year 12 subjects that are relevant to their preferred UNSW degree. You may be awarded up to five points.
This program recognises achievements in the areas of sport, academia, leadership and music at an elite level. You may be eligible for up to five points.
Factors such as illness, financial hardship, language difficulties or attending a particular school can mean you don't always get the best possible marks in Years 11 and 12. If one of these situations applies to you, submit an application for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) via UAC. Eligible students can receive between 1 and 10 points towards their chosen UNSW degree.

This scheme is open to students in Years 11 and 12 who attend Gateway schools. It significantly adjusts the ATAR requirements for your preferred UNSW degree and provides you with an early conditional offer to UNSW.
We offer entry programs for Indigenous Australians, including the Indigenous Preparatory Programs and the Indigenous Admission Scheme (IAS). The entry pathway program you apply for will depend on the degree you want to study.
English language requirements
You may be asked to provide evidence of your English proficiency to study at UNSW depending on your educational background and citizenship. Program structure
You'll study a full Bachelor of Commerce with an additional International Studies stream. As part of your Bachelor of Commerce you will complete an Integrated First Year, up to 2 business majors and for-credit work integrated learning. In your international studies stream, you can choose to focus on a language or a broad international studies area such as politics or history.

Applications for undergraduate study from domestic students (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holders and New Zealand citizens) are processed by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

Commonwealth Supported Place: Student Contribution Band 4
*The student contribution for a Commonwealth Supported Place is an indication only of the amount payable in Year 1 based on a standard full-time load of 48 credit points (1.0 EFTSL).
