The Annual 2024
The Annual is Australia’s largest showcase of graduate art and design, launching a new generation of creative practitioners from the UNSW School of Art & Design. This year, 187 artists, designers and makers present new work across the Paddington campus and online.Â

A decade of design innovation — Cushla McFadden
Cushla's passion for the built environment and design emerged from a deep appreciation for the natural world she had from an early age. At UNSW, Cushla pursued a Bachelor of Interior Architecture, a program that seamlessly blended art history and architecture, providing her with the ideal platform to unleash her creativity onto a tangible career path. The rigorous coursework at UNSW not only honed her skills but also instilled the importance of structure in the creative process, equipping her to tackle complex projects with determination and resilience.
UNSW Built Environment Graduation Exhibition 2024
For the first time in over a decade, all seven School of Built Environment disciplines – Architecture, City Planning, Computational Design, Construction Management and Property, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Industrial Design – will be celebrating together in a combined whole-of-school graduation exhibition.
The exhibition is a chance for students to share their work with the design and built environment industries and the wider community and celebrate with their teachers, friends and families. It is also a chance for industry and the public to see the best and brightest in the country, if not the world.
SAM Alumni Creative Residency & Grant
The School of the Arts & Media (SAM) Alumni Creative Residency supports recent graduates in their professional creative endeavours. This flexible residency program is designed to bolster the development of your creative project through access to UNSW facilities, resources and networks.Â
This opportunity is open to SAM alumni from all creative disciplines. For up to two weeks, you will have access to the resources and expertise of the Creative Practice Lab (CPL) and the facilities of the School of the Arts & Media, including technical, production and creative support, as well as access to industry networks.
